Two Saturdays per month from 9 AM to 11:30 AM
Palo Alto Bridge Center Cost: $7 for Unit 503 members, $10 for non-membersThis educational game is for players who would like to learn or practice playing modern conventions. Each focuses on one convention with a 30 minute lecture followed by eight hands to reinforce the convention. It is based on Barbara Seagram’s 25 Bridge Conventions You Should Know and a mentor is at each table to help you bid and go over the play and defense of the hand.
Each game has a stand-alone topic so you may come to any game whether-or-not you have attend previous games.
There are no masterpoints given.
All communication and hand scripts will be sent by email.
If you are not sure if you are a member of our Unit or not, check the ACBL website.
Reservations
You can attend any number of games but you need to make a reservation ahead of each game so that we have enough mentors available. We also need notification if you cannot attend after a reservation is made. Table assignments will be emailed to you.
Partners
You do not need a partner, but if you have one or a group of people who would like to sit at the same table, let us know and we will sit you together.
Food
We will have tea and coffee available. You are welcome to bring food as long as you take responsibility for cleaning up the results (leftovers, crumbs, spills, etc.).
Masterpoint Game Following
You are welcome to play in the duplicate game following our class. If you wish to play in this game, lunch is served at 11:30 and the game starts at noon. Those not staying for this game will need to leave the center promptly after our game.
See you there,
