Just For Fun

Just For Fun is closed during October and December. Due to the low attendance at JFF games for the last several months, we are re-examining whether or not to resume this activity.  At one time JFF was a well-attended game whereby newer players could discuss and improve their bidding and play.  Please send any suggestions that might help us improve the JFF game to Solna Braude, email, or Omer BarNir, email.

Tuesday's 7PM to 10PM
$3.00 per person (exact change is appreciated)

Welcome to the Just For Fun bridge game. We hope these guidelines will make your experience enjoyable. Feedback is welcomed.

This is a non-competitive, "just for fun" game (no master points given) to help all of us better learn the lessons we were taught in our bridge classes and strengthen our partnership agreements. We usually have pre-dealt hands and hand records from the Tuesday afternoon game which allows each table to discuss the bidding and play of the hand and compare their results with those of more experienced players. Each table will play/discuss at their own speed and will stay together for the evening unless a rotation is necessary due to a "short table".

There is usually a more or less experienced host on site to offer ‘guidance’.

PARTNERS

It works best if you come with a partner or are a foursome but we will match individual players and teams as possible.

FOOD

You are welcome to bring food as long as you take responsibility for cleaning up the results (leftovers, crumbs, spills, etc.).

SUPPLIES

We have the use of the bridge club's tables, chairs and bidding cards. We need to provide all other supplies. We provide card decks but please bring a deck of cards "just in case". Also, bring any other supplies you might need like paper, pencils, paper plates, napkins, etc.

We are not club directors and don't serve the functions you would expect from directors. We are making this game possible because we, just like you, want to play bridge. So, please help us minimize our "non-play" time.

We will let you know when it's 9:45 so you can wrap up your hand and help leave the room in good order.

COMMUNICATION

We have set up a Yahoo Group to allow us to take our discussions online. Email us if you would like access to this group.

Thank you!
