2007 Highlights

Thanks to the Board, our club owners, our teachers and many members of our unit, highlights in 2007 built nicely on the accomplishments in 2006:

776 Unit members and growing

Games:

• 7,902 tables at the Bridge Center, a 3% increase
• Table increases at Cubberley Community Center (Sherie’s) and Unity Church (Walter’s)
• 31% increase in table counts at Unit games including a new 99er’s section
• 907.5 tables at the Firecracker, an 18% increase from 2006
• New Stanford Bridge Club
• Pre-dealt hands with hand records and analysis

80 people in the Fall Beginning Bridge class

3^rd annual Holiday toy drive

Creation of the Unit 503 Education Fund ($15,000+ as of 12/31)

Bridge Center

• Laptop computer, computer monitor, printer/scanner/fax, double-sided laser printer
• Storage Cabinets
• Wireless microphone
• New armchairs
• New cards and bid box inserts
• Dealing macine

Website:

• 95,000 visits, a 19% increase over 2006. Almost 243,000 visits since our website was created in November 2003
• Most popular pages: Game Results, home page, Event Calendar and Game Schedule in that order
• Most pupular time: Thursday evening
• Discerning Computer Users: Mac users account for 16% of our traffic (about twice the average for the internet). The rest were on that 'other' computer.
• Browsers: Internet Explorer (70%), Firefox (14%) and Safari (11%)
